Knights of Columbus -
The Kingston Youth Sports Organization (KYSO) is looking forward to some exciting fundraising events during 2010. Coming off a successful fall softball tournament, a new winter fundraiser will be a poker tournament held in the evening at the Knights of Columbus on Saturday, January 30. Buy in for the tournament will be $100 but discounted tickets (for $75) will be available until January 20th from board members and online. They are hoping to have one hundred players participate so if you enjoy playing cards and need to kill some time before Super Bowl weekend come on down and have some fun. It’s for a great cause and you just might walk away a winner.
Plans are under way once again for their premier fundraiser in the spring; the Annual Golf and Dinner Fundraiser at Indian Pond Country Club on Monday, May 3. It’s a great day of golf with silent and live auctions in the evening. One of the highlights of the event will be a golf ball drop, by helicopter, for folks who have bought raffle tickets. The group is looking to sell 1000 tickets with the lucky winner (or winners) walking away with up to $2500 if all the tickets get sold.
Monies raised during KYSO events this year will be used to help improve parking in the complex, renovate the B1 field so a 70 foot baseball program can be started and more stands for all the fans that come out to watch games. For more information regarding these events please go to our new website at www.kingstonyouthsports.org . Make it your stop for everything KYSO!
